Location and surroundings
The camp lies on the shore of Lake Burunge in the natural corridor between Lake Manyara and Tarangire, around 134 km or two hours from Arusha. The entrance to Tarangire National Park is about a ten-minute drive. The camp can also be reached via Manyara Airstrip, a flight of around 25 minutes from Arusha; the camp is open all year round.
The region between Lake Manyara and Tarangire is well suited as a base for game drives into both parks. You can find further accommodation in this region at the Tarangire lodges.
Rooms and facilities
The lodge has 38 tents on wooden decks: Suite Tents for two to three guests and Family Tents for four to five guests. Facilities include a pool, Wi-Fi, 24-hour electricity, laundry service, free parking and a campfire. The restaurant stands on a raised platform with views over the lake and Tarangire National Park; meals are on a full-board basis.
