Location and surroundings
The Gran Meliá is in the centre of Arusha, just a few minutes from restaurants, shops and embassies. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Arusha Airport and around 50 minutes to reach Kilimanjaro International Airport. This makes the hotel well suited for the first or last night of a safari through the northern parks. Despite the urban location, the grounds are green and quiet, with views of Mount Meru and the surrounding hills. The hotel’s own garden supplies fresh ingredients for the kitchen.
