Location and surroundings
Lahia Tented Lodge stands slightly elevated near the Musabi Plain in the west of Serengeti National Park. From the tents and the central area, the view stretches far across the savannah. From May to July, large herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the region on their way to the northern Serengeti. Lions, elephants, buffalo and many bird species are found here all year round. Good game-viewing areas lie along the nearby Grumeti River. Ndabaka Gate is 90 km away, Grumeti Airstrip 25 km and Seronera Airstrip 70 km.
The western Serengeti is not a separate park, but a region within Serengeti National Park. You can find an overview of the options in this region at Western Serengeti lodges.
