Overnight stays on the crater floor are not possible, so the accommodation is located on the crater rim and in the highlands. From there you set off early in the morning for the descent into the caldera.

Nkoaranga Orphanage

The Nkoaranga orphanage at the foot of Mount Meru has existed since 1997; around 30 children up to the age of three live there with 12 carers. Instead of a fixed contribution, Wildfinder Safaris regularly buys supplies for the orphanage: groceries, toiletries and similar items.
