Location and surroundings
Mount Meru Game Lodge lies in the small town of Usa River, roughly halfway between Kilimanjaro Airport and the town of Arusha. The transfer is therefore short. Directly opposite the lodge is a private game enclosure that is home to zebra, ostrich and monkeys, among others. The grounds lie on the river and are characterised by mature trees that provide shade and a peaceful atmosphere. Mount Meru is clearly visible from here. The drive to the Momella Gate of Arusha National Park takes only about 15 minutes. The lodge is therefore well suited for the first or last night of a trip through northern Tanzania.

Rooms and facilities
Mount Meru Game Lodge has 24 rooms: 20 double rooms, one single room and three family units. All rooms are furnished in a colonial African style and have a private bathroom and a small terrace. The main building houses the restaurant, the bar and a veranda overlooking the game enclosure opposite. From there you can watch zebra and ostrich while you eat or drink a coffee. In the garden there is a small pool, ideal for cooling off after a long journey or a game drive. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas.
