Location and Surroundings
Narudi Tented Camp stands in the central part of the Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich regions in Africa. Grassy areas, acacia groves and seasonal water sources shape the surroundings and attract wildlife, particularly during the Great Migration. Lions, cheetahs and elephants are regularly sighted in this area. Game drives set off in the early morning and late afternoon. It is 128 kilometres to Naabi Hill Gate, a drive of around three hours. Seronera Airstrip is 81 kilometres away, a drive of around one hour and 45 minutes.
The camp lies in the Central Serengeti region, a good base for game drives in all directions. You can find more accommodation in this region on the Central Serengeti lodges page. You can find out what defines the park and how it is laid out at Serengeti National Park.
Rooms and Facilities
Narudi Tented Camp consists of just twelve tents, which keeps it quiet and intimate. Each tent is generously sized and tastefully furnished. Each has a private bathroom with a hot-water shower and a private veranda overlooking the wilderness. With a bit of luck you can watch animals moving through the area from there. At night you may hear lions roaring or hyenas laughing.
The lounge and dining area are in the main tent. Meals are served here, and in good weather also in the open air. In the evening you round off the day with a sundowner before returning to your tent. Meals at the camp are on a full-board basis. Solar energy supplies the camp with power.
