Location and surroundings
Ngorongoro Lions Paw stands on the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, just a few minutes’ drive from the access road to the crater floor. It is around ten minutes to the crater entrance; from Arusha, the drive takes about three hours (190 kilometres). The surroundings are characterised by dense montane forest, and the camp is quiet and secluded. Thanks to the short distances, you can set off for the crater floor early in the morning. Occasionally, you may even spot animals from the camp itself.
You can find further accommodation at the Ngorongoro Crater in the overview of lodges around Ngorongoro.
Rooms and facilities
The camp consists of 21 suites: 16 Executive Twin/Double and 5 Family Interconnecting, which are suitable for families. Each tent has comfortable beds, its own bathroom and a private terrace overlooking the greenery or down into the crater. In the main tent you will find the restaurant, the lounge and the bar. Regionally inspired cuisine is served there, and in the evening you can round off the safari day at the bar. The board basis is full board, so breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
