Location and surroundings
Nimali Mara lies near Kogatende in the north of the Serengeti, not far from the Mara River. The surroundings are hilly and green, criss-crossed by watercourses, and are considered one of the best game-viewing areas in the region. From July to October, large herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the north, and that is when the well-known river crossings take place at the Mara River. The camp is in a secluded location. The drive from the Kogatende Airstrip takes 35 minutes.
