Location and surroundings
Nyikani Migration Camp Ndutu lies in the Ndutu region in the southern Ngorongoro Conservation Area, close to the border with the Serengeti. The landscape is open and vast: grasslands and flat plains dotted with lone acacias. From December to March, large herds of wildebeest and zebra gather here; the wildebeest give birth to their calves from January to March. The camp stands right in the middle of this activity, and wildlife can often be observed from your tent. It is a five-minute drive from the Ndutu Airstrip to the camp, and you can soon set off on your first game drive.
The overview page Lodges Ndutu introduces further accommodation in the Ndutu region.
Rooms and facilities
The camp consists of 12 tents with king, twin, triple or family occupancy, plus a separate family tent. Each tent has comfortable beds, its own bathroom and a covered seating area overlooking the open landscape. At the centre are the dining tent and the lounge, with outdoor seating in front where you can sit between game drives. You are catered for on a full-board basis.
