The Nkoaranga orphanage at the foot of Mount Meru has existed since 1997; around 30 children up to the age of three live there with 12 carers. Instead of a fixed contribution, Wildfinder Safaris regularly buys supplies for the orphanage: groceries, toiletries and similar items.

When can you travel to Tanzania?
Tanzania can be visited all year round. In the north, June to October is the dry season. Zanzibar has two rainy seasons, March to May and October to December. In April the long-term average is around 409 mm of rain, in July around 31 mm. More: best time to visit Tanzania.
How long should your honeymoon last?
10 to 14 days. That leaves enough time alongside the parks for quiet days for the two of you or the beach in Zanzibar. Shorter is also possible; the team will adapt the route.
What is included in the travel price?
The price includes private transfers to and from the airport in Tanzania, accommodation with full board on safari and breakfast on Zanzibar, safaris with a private, English-speaking driver-guide, the domestic flight from Arusha to Zanzibar, all entry and concession fees of the national parks and the Flying Doctor (emergency rescue flight). The price does not include international flights, visa, tips, meals and drinks not listed, hospital costs and repatriation home (for these you need your own travel medical insurance covering repatriation), and the compulsory state insurance for Tanzania and Zanzibar.
How much time do I get on Zanzibar?
Depending on the trip idea, 6 or 8 nights remain in Zanzibar; the days are free for you to spend as you like. Excursions such as Stone Town, a spice tour, the boat trip to the Mnemba Island reserve with snorkelling, or a dhow trip at sunset can be added and cost extra.
