Location and surroundings
The Highlands lies on the edge of the forest of the Olmoti Crater in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and is the highest camp in the region. The Ngorongoro Crater is one hour away, and the drive from Lake Manyara Airstrip takes three hours. The camp is open all year round.

Rooms and facilities
The eight domed suites are made of Perspex and canvas, including an interconnected family suite and a honeymoon suite with an outdoor hot tub. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom with hot water and a wood-fired stove; power comes from solar panels and a generator. Wi-Fi, a spa with private sauna and a free laundry service are available.
