Location and surroundings
The Residence Zanzibar is located near Kizimkazi on the quiet south-west coast of Zanzibar, directly on a secluded sandy beach with views over the Indian Ocean. The surroundings are characterised by mangroves, palm trees and a largely unspoilt landscape. From the airport and from Stone Town you can reach the resort in around 75 minutes by car. Dolphins can be spotted off the coast, and the resort team can organise boat trips, visits to Jozani Forest or excursions to nearby villages on request.

The resort consists of 66 villas between 155 and 468 m², each with its own pool. The villas feature spacious living areas, bathrooms and sun terraces; some have direct beach access. The furnishings combine African craftsmanship with modern comfort and colonial influences. The grounds include a large main pool, a spa, a fitness centre, a kids club and several restaurants.
