Location and surroundings
The Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel is located directly on the beach of Matemwe on the north-east coast of Zanzibar. Matemwe is a quiet coastal village with a long, white sandy beach and an offshore reef. The surrounding area is largely undeveloped, and the view stretches far across the Indian Ocean. You can reach small restaurants and local diving schools within a few minutes on foot, and the well-known Mnemba Atoll is a short journey away by boat. The drive from Zanzibar Airport takes around 75 minutes (53 kilometres).
