Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Zanzibar

    You land at Zanzibar Airport, where someone is already waiting for you. A private transfer takes you to your hotel on the beach. The rest of the day is yours: a first swim in the Indian Ocean or a quiet evening after your journey.

  2. Day 2

    Zanzibar

    The day is at your leisure on the beach. An excursion to Stone Town through the old town alleys and across the markets, with the slave museum, the sultan's palace and island cuisine with fresh fish and spicy curries, is not part of the programme; if you wish, the team can book it for you at extra cost.

  3. Day 3

    Zanzibar

    The day is at your leisure; you can spend it on the beach at your hotel. A spice tour through the island's spice gardens with vanilla, cinnamon and tropical fruit can be booked on request.

  4. Day 4

    Zanzibar

    The day is at your leisure for swimming and resting on the white sand. An excursion to the beaches of Nungwi and Kendwa, with water sports in Nungwi and snorkelling in the quieter Kendwa, can be booked separately.

  5. Day 5

    Zanzibar

    This day is also at your leisure. An excursion to Paje, a well-known kitesurfing spot with palm trees and turquoise water, and to the quieter Jambiani for swimming and local cuisine can be booked on request.

  6. Day 6

    Zanzibar

    The last full day is at your leisure. A trip on a traditional dhow along the coast with snorkelling around the Mnemba island reserve can be booked separately; diving and sailing are alternatives.

  7. Day 7

    Zanzibar

    After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye. A private transfer takes you to Zanzibar Airport, where you begin your journey home. Depending on your departure, there may still be time for one last walk along the beach beforehand.

Nkoaranga Orphanage

The Nkoaranga orphanage at the foot of Mount Meru has existed since 1997; around 30 children up to the age of three live there with 12 carers. Instead of a fixed contribution, Wildfinder Safaris regularly buys supplies for the orphanage: groceries, toiletries and similar items.
