Itinerary
Day 1
You land at Zanzibar Airport and are welcomed by the team. A private transfer takes you to your hotel on the beach. The rest of the day is yours: arrive, eat, take a first walk by the sea and rest from the long journey.
Day 2
Your first full day on Zanzibar belongs to the beach in front of your hotel. You swim in the Indian Ocean, rest in the shade of the palm trees and set the pace yourself. A walk along the white sandy beach rounds off the day.
Day 3
The day is at your leisure on the beach. Snorkelling or diving at the coral reefs, for example around the Mnemba island reserve, is not part of the programme; if you wish, the team can book the excursion for you at extra cost.
Day 4
This day on the island is also free; you can take it easy on the beach. Water sports such as kitesurfing or sailing, and a trip on a traditional dhow in the evening when the sun sets over the sea, can be booked on request.
Day 5
A transfer takes you to Zanzibar Airport; from there, you fly on a domestic flight to Seronera Airstrip in the centre of the Serengeti. Your guide is waiting for you at the airstrip. The first game drive begins on the way to your accommodation, through the plains and river valleys around Seronera, where many animals live all year round.
Day 6
The whole day is given over to the game drive in the Serengeti. With your guide, you drive through open plains and acacia landscapes along the rivers. You can observe lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest and, with a bit of luck, leopards or cheetahs. Lunch is served on the way, after which the drive continues.
Day 7
After breakfast, you say goodbye to the Serengeti and fly back to Zanzibar on a domestic flight. You are welcomed at Zanzibar Airport and taken to your hotel on the beach. The rest of the day is free: swimming, relaxing or a walk around the village.
Day 8
The day is at your leisure; you can stay on the beach and swim in the sea. A trip to Stone Town through the old town alleys and across the markets, or a visit to a spice garden with vanilla and cinnamon, can be booked separately.
Day 9
The last full day of the trip is entirely yours. You can sample the island's cuisine with fresh fish, spicy curries and tropical fruit, go out on the water once more or simply spend the day on the beach. If you wish, the team will organise further excursions for you.
Day 10
Depending on your departure time, the morning is still yours for the beach and a last swim in the sea. Afterwards, the private transfer takes you to Zanzibar Airport. From there, you board your flight home.
