Zanzibar is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, around 40 kilometres off the coast of Tanzania. White beaches alternate with the old town of Stone Town and its markets.
On the water the island offers diving, kitesurfing and sailing; on land there are spice tours and cultural excursions. If you want more than the beach, add a private safari on the mainland to your island days. The page Zanzibar Lodges shows accommodation from Nungwi to Paje.

Nine nights on the mainland with Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, then four nights on the beach on Zanzibar.

“We chose Wildfinder because Daniel Pullem gave us excellent advice and put together a great safari with wonderful accommodation for us. […] In Zanzibar, too, Daniel Pullem recommended a lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful pool and excellent food. We also booked the excursion to Jozani Forest through Wildfinder […]. I can definitely recommend Wildfinder.”
“From the organisation in advance right through to the end of the trip, everything was spot on and worked out superbly. […] Great praise also goes to our guide Pascal. […] Thanks to him we were able to see and experience the Big Five. He really gave everything for us. […] The break in Zanzibar was also wonderful. The hotel was somewhat smaller but all the more personal for it.”
“The trip was dreamlike! We saw an extreme variety of animals and nature. Our guide was super […]. The chosen accommodation and the programme were perfectly tailored to us and everything ran smoothly. […] the trip can be designed entirely according to one's own wishes and the mixture of personal advice and the great safari with good guides guarantees an awesome experience.”

People · Mount Meru
The Nkoaranga orphanage at the foot of Mount Meru has existed since 1997; around 30 children up to the age of three live there with 12 carers. Instead of a fixed contribution, Wildfinder Safaris regularly buys supplies for the orphanage: groceries, toiletries and similar items.
Wildlife · Mkomazi
WildlifeNOW is a Kora Project programme at Mkomazi National Park: it protects black rhinos and African wild dogs, maintains their populations through breeding and safeguards the ecosystem. It also raises awareness in the surrounding communities, and Wildfinder Safaris supports the programme.
