Under The Shade Safari Lodge

General information

Under The Shade Safari Lodge is a nature-oriented accommodation in the middle of the wilderness that combines safari experience and tranquillity in a particularly personal way. The lodge is aimed at travelers looking for an authentic atmosphere away from the main tourist routes. With its sustainable concept, plenty of privacy and proximity to wild animals, it offers ideal conditions for anyone who wants to experience nature without sacrificing comfort.

Location and surroundings

The lodge is located in a private reserve in northern Tanzania, between Arusha and Tarangire National Park. The exact location is deliberately remote to enable an intensive experience of nature. Old umbrella acacias provide shade – hence the name – and create a special atmosphere. Elephants, giraffes and numerous bird species can regularly be observed in the area. The journey is usually via Arusha, followed by a scenic drive.

Equipment

Guests stay in spacious tented houses with a solid floor, private bathroom, safari shower and veranda with a view of the wilderness. The furnishings are simple, high-quality and in natural colors. The central main building houses the restaurant, lounge and fireplace. Solar power and local materials are part of the overall sustainable concept. Wi-Fi is available to a limited extent – deliberately so as not to disturb the experience of nature.

Special features of Under The Shade Safari Lodge

The tranquillity is special: no vehicles, no fences – just bush, animals and sky. The lodge thrives on its connection to nature and the team’s attentive, unobtrusive service. Guests do not feel like they are staying in a hotel, but in a well-protected part of the wilderness. A place for real relaxation and intense safari moments.
