Travel Planning & Preparation

Entry requirements vary depending on the nationality of the traveler.

In principle, a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the planned departure date is required to enter Tanzania. In addition, a visa is required, which must be applied for in advance as an e-visa.

The Tanzania tourist visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The processing time for e-visas is usually 2-3 weeks.

It is best to submit your application via the official website: https://visa.immigration.go.tz/

Recommended vaccinations for Tanzania include Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, and Malaria prophylaxis.

Travel insurance provides comprehensive protection during your safari, allowing you to fully enjoy your adventure without worry. It covers medical emergencies, including treatment costs and repatriation, as well as loss of luggage and personal items. We recommend “Chapka Travel Insurance” for this purpose.
