Day 1: Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s untouched natural treasures! Your journey begins with your arrival at Arusha airport, where our friendly team will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in the city. Arusha is not only a charming city with lively markets and a rich culture, but also the ideal starting point for your safari adventures.
Day 2: Arusha - Karatu
After an invigorating breakfast, it’s off on a scenic drive to Karatu. This quiet town on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and is a popular destination for nature lovers. On the way there, you can already admire the lush vegetation and majestic mountains of the Great Rift Valley.
Day 3: Exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater
Today, an absolute highlight is on the program – the Ngorongoro Crater. This extinct volcanic crater is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and hippo. During our full-day safari in the crater, you will have the unique opportunity to observe these fascinating animals in their natural environment and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Day 4: Drive to the Serengeti
After a delicious breakfast, we make our way to the central Serengeti, a true jewel of African wildlife. On the way there, we pass picturesque villages and untouched landscapes before reaching the endless expanses of the Serengeti. Here we have the chance to see the famous “Big Five” as well as numerous other animal species such as cheetahs, giraffes and zebras. Our experienced guides will take you to the best vantage points to observe the wildlife and take breathtaking photos.
Day 5: Onward journey to the northern Serengeti
Our safari takes us further into the northern Serengeti, where we can experience the impressive Great Migration. This spectacular natural spectacle, in which millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate through the savannah in search of fresh pasture, is an absolute highlight of any Tanzania safari.
Day 6 & 7: Adventure in the northern Serengeti
In the northern Serengeti, you’ll witness one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders: the Great Migration. During full-day game drives along the Mara River, you may be lucky enough to see the dramatic river crossings up close, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras plunge into the water. The vast landscapes, the tension in the air, and the incredible wildlife density make these days an unforgettable safari highlight.
Day 8: Farewell to the Serengeti, onward flight to Zanzibar
After enjoying the beauty of the Serengeti to the full, it’s time to say goodbye. We fly from Kogatende Airstrip to Zanzibar, where a different kind of adventure awaits us – sun, beach and the azure waters of the Indian Ocean.
Day 9-13: Exploration and relaxation on Zanzibar
The next few days are dedicated to exploring and relaxing on the breathtaking island of Zanzibar. After our arrival, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating old town of Stone Town, explore historical sights and be enchanted by the exotic scents and sounds of the city. On the following days, you can enjoy pure relaxation on the white sandy beaches, explore the fascinating underwater world while snorkeling or diving and have the opportunity to discover traditional villages and the rich culture of the island. No matter which activities you choose, one thing is certain: the beauty and diversity of Zanzibar will stay with you for a long time to come.
Day 14: Return journey home
