Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team. Your exciting safari begins in Arusha, a charming city at the foot of the majestic Mount Meru. After checking into the hotel, you can relax and prepare for the adventure that awaits you in the coming days.
Day 2: Departure for Tarangire National Park
Today your safari begins with an exciting drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem of Tanzania. The park is known for its impressive landscape, characterized by giant baobab trees and the picturesque Tarangire River. During an extended game drive you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including herds of elephants, lions, leopards, zebras and giraffes.
Day 3: A full day in Tarangire
Today we have a full day adventure in Tarangire National Park. This gives you the opportunity to explore the beauty and diversity of this unique ecosystem at your leisure. Watch elephants congregate at the waterholes as you drive through the park’s scenic landscapes and enjoy breathtaking views of the African wilderness.
Day 4: Continue to Karatu
After two exciting days in Tarangire National Park, you make your way to Karatu, a picturesque village on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you can enjoy Tanzania’s fascinating landscape and get to know the local communities that live along the route.
Day 5: Visit Ngorongoro Crater
Today’s itinerary is the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural crater of breathtaking beauty and diversity. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and rhinos. During a full-day tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this amazing ecosystem and experience incredible wildlife sightings.
Day 6: Drive to the central Serengeti
Today you drive to the central Serengeti, one of the most famous national parks in the world. The central Serengeti is famous for its endless savannahs, abundant wildlife and of course the annual Great Migration. During the trip you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape and prepare for the upcoming wildlife sightings.
Day 7: Exploring the central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the central Serengeti. This area is known for its high concentration of predators and other wildlife. During an extended game drive you have the opportunity to observe lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and many other animals in their natural environment. Enjoy the beauty and magic of the African wilderness as you drive through the endless grasslands.
Day 8: Drive to the northern Serengeti
Today we continue to the northern Serengeti, one of the best places to experience the Great Migration. This area is famous for its spectacular river crossings and the incredible amount of wildlife that passes through the savannahs during migration. During the journey you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape and hope for exciting animal encounters.
Day 9: Adventurous day in the northern Serengeti
Spend another day exploring the fascinating wildlife of the northern Serengeti. This area offers a variety of habitats including open savannas, dense forests and lush riverbanks, supporting a rich variety of wildlife. Observe huge herds of wildebeest, elegant gazelles, majestic lions and much more as you drive through the endless expanses of the northern Serengeti.
Day 10: Farewell to the Serengeti
After an unforgettable time in the wilds of Tanzania, your safari ends with the return flight from Kogatende Airstrip to Arusha and finally to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
