Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team. Your exciting safari begins in Arusha, a charming city at the foot of the majestic Mount Meru. After checking into the hotel, you can relax and prepare for the adventure that awaits you in the coming days.
Day 2: Departure for Tarangire National Park
Today your safari begins with an exciting drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem of Tanzania. The park is known for its impressive landscape, characterized by giant baobab trees and the picturesque Tarangire River. During an extended game drive you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including herds of elephants, lions, leopards, zebras and giraffes.
Day 3: A full day in Tarangire
Today we have a full day adventure in Tarangire National Park. This gives you the opportunity to explore the beauty and diversity of this unique ecosystem at your leisure. Watch elephants congregate at the waterholes as you drive through the park’s scenic landscapes and enjoy breathtaking views of the African wilderness.
Day 4: Continue to Karatu
After two exciting days in Tarangire National Park, you make your way to Karatu, a picturesque village on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you can enjoy Tanzania’s fascinating landscape and get to know the local communities that live along the route.
Day 5: Visit Ngorongoro Crater
Today’s itinerary is the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural crater of breathtaking beauty and diversity. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and rhinos. During a full-day tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this amazing ecosystem and experience incredible wildlife sightings.
Day 6: Exploring Ndutu and the southern Serengeti area
We delve into the pristine plains of Ndutu and the southern Serengeti, where the legendary Great Migration takes place. This region is known for its large herds of wildebeest and zebra that migrate in search of fresh grass and the predators that follow them to secure their meals.
Day 7-9: Full day safaris in Ndutu and the Southern Serengeti
In the coming days we will explore extensively the areas of Ndutu and the southern Serengeti to experience the magnificent migration up close. You’ll watch the breathtaking spectacle of thousands of animals migrating across the endless plains and have the opportunity to capture some of the wildlife’s most fascinating moments.
Day 10: Full day safari in the central Serengeti area
Our safari takes us back to the central Serengeti, where we spend another day exploring the wildlife and enjoying the beauty of this iconic landscape. We keep an eye out for the “Big Five” and let ourselves be enchanted by the incomparable landscapes.
Day 11: Return to Arusha and farewell
After an unforgettable time in the wilds of Tanzania, your safari ends with the return flight from Kogatende Airstrip to Arusha and finally to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
